Sword Art Online (ソードアート・オンライン, shortened to SAO) started as Reki Kawahara’s light-novel series about players trapped in a virtual-reality game and was adapted into a long-running anime (en.wikipedia, secondary source). In parlours it’s on both sides of the hall, and 2026 has been a busy year for it.

What’s new about Alicization Yozora
Kyoraku’s announcement makes a few points worth knowing as a visitor (Kyoraku, 13 Jul 2026):
- It’s the first machine of Kyoraku’s “Fair Pachinko Project” (フェアぱちんこプロジェクト), and carries a new feature called FAIR START, which Kyoraku says gives every player a fair chance by making the start more stable. Kyoraku also mentions a “こぼしゼロ” (zero-spill) ball path. Kyoraku hasn’t published the technical details on that page, so we don’t guess at them.
- It’s based on the Alicization arc of the anime and follows e Sword Art Online Senkō no Kiseki (閃光の軌跡).
- New cabinet: a refined “Bright Star” frame and a new handle.
- Roll-out dates can vary by region.
If “the start” is unfamiliar, it means how often balls enter the start pocket and trigger a spin. How to play pachinko explains it.
Playing as a fan
- All current SAO machines are smart machines, so you won’t handle loose balls or medals. See smart slot and smart pachinko explained.
- New-machine buzz. Gun Gale Online is due in November 2026; halls often promote new machines heavily. Treat it as a chance to see the animation, not as a better bet. See responsible play.
- Find one. Search ソードアート or SAO on a hall’s machine list.
