Advertising & affiliate disclosure

How we plan to earn money

• Affiliate links. We may later link to tours (for example Viator, GetYourGuide or Klook), Japan eSIMs (for example Airalo) and products such as home machines (for example Amazon). If you book or buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Published programme rates at the time of our research were about 8% for Viator, up to 8% for GetYourGuide and 10% for Airalo.
• Sponsored content. Halls or manufacturers may sponsor content. It will always be labelled “Sponsored” and will follow Japanese advertising rules for pachinko.
• Display advertising may be added later.

Our promises

• Money never changes our verification labels, rankings or advice.
• Affiliate links are marked, and use rel=“sponsored”.
• We never promote online gambling.
