Namba (難波) is the heart of Osaka’s southern “Minami” district, and it’s one of the easiest places in Japan to try pachinko with help in your own language. Two of MARUHAN’s four official visitor halls are here, and a third is a short trip away in Shinsekai.
Getting there
OSAKA-INFO describes Dotonbori as the symbolic shopping district of Minami, reached from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji, Sennichimae and Yotsubashi lines (OSAKA-INFO).
The halls
| Hall | Address | Machines | Hours | Help for visitors |

| MARUHAN Namba Shin-kan | 3-1-34 Namba | 1,086 | 10:00–22:40 | Manga guide and staff instruction in EN/CN/KR |

Machine counts, hours and language support: MARUHAN. All three offer 4-yen and 1-yen pachinko and 20-yen and 5-yen pachislot. Japanese Slot Guide notes that at Hon-kan, pachinko and pachislot are on different floors (JSG).
We previously listed a Dynam hall in Namba, but we couldn’t find a Dynam branch in Namba, so we’ve removed it until we can verify one.
An evening plan
- Late afternoon: an hour at one of the MARUHAN halls. Ask for the manga guide, head to the 1-yen corner and set a budget before you start (set a pachinko budget).
- Prize counter: swap what you’ve won for snacks (prizes explained).
- Evening: walk to Dotonbori. The district is known for its giant signs; the Glico running-man sign first went up in 1935, according to Glico (Glico).
For a full day including the Den Den Town anime district, see the Osaka anime and pachinko itinerary. For Shinsekai, OSAKA-INFO says the original Tsutenkaku Tower was built in 1912 (OSAKA-INFO).
Good to know
- Age: 18 and over only. MARUHAN may ask for ID such as a passport if you look young (MARUHAN).
- Rates: see 1-yen vs 4-yen pachinko.
- Manners: pachinko etiquette.
- Another Osaka option: Q-Bang! in Umeda; see the Umeda guide.
